It has been a very busy few months for the Summer Foundation and there is a lot happening in the world of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
Of particular note is the resounding success of our inaugural Get Building SDA National Conference, presented with Youngcare in Melbourne in March. It was a sellout with more than 400 attendees. See the full report in this newsletter.
Our work to improve the processes that allow people to Leave Hospital Well is being ramped up with the expansion of our pilot Collaborative Discharge Process.
The Aged Care Royal Commission has extended the deadline for submissions until the end of September. We have helped 100 people tell their stories to the Royal Commission and will be putting in our own submission.
The UpSkill program that we launched at the beginning of the year to build the capacity of support coordinators continues. For more information see here.
