Reaching towards success

Closing the door to aged care for young people

Recent years have seen a significant decline in the number of younger people living in residential aged care.

In 2021, the Summer Foundation’s Annual Public Forum looks forward to a successful resolution to the issue of young people in aged care. We will investigate what is being done – and what still remains to be done – to achieve success.

Join this important discussion online via zoom at 12 noon (AEDT) on Thursday 4 November.

Hear from the Minister for the NDIS, Senator Linda Reynolds, Australia’s Disability Discrimination Commissioner, Dr Ben Gauntlett, policy makers, sector professionals and people with personal experience of living as a younger person in a residential aged care facility.
