A little bit more about me:

I am a mature man in my mid fifties. In the past I worked for lots of companies in various aspects of disability. I worked across the board from the legal field as a researcher and investigator right through to as a disability support worker and developer of employment programs. This gave me a great grounding in understanding how to work with people to get things done. Then I went and started my own disability companies to learn how the industry works from another angle. I also managed to squeeze in a very short stint with the NDIS. I was amazed at how complicated and rule bound the NDIS was. It was really hard to see everyday Australians getting confused and overwhelmed by lots of legal jargon and referencing to rules and criteria’s that didn’t always seem straight forward at first glance. With this in mind I went into support coordination and made it my mission to really understand how to get the best results for clients. Now I do that with SDA applications.

My professional values are:

My greatest value for working with anyone is that we all deserve a fair go. I reckon if I am know how to do something well then I should help someone who might not have the same grasp I have on how to go about it. I believe the mark of the strongest society is how it treats its less able members. When I am working with complex SDA applications my clients often identify as struggling a bit and needing the help. That’s only human to want someone to be good at something so you don’t have to be. Be good at something and give everyone a fair go. That is my motto.
