More information about my experience:

I began working in the disability sector in 2013 when NDIS trials began in the Barwon Region of Victoria. I worked at Karingal (now GenU) to implement a claiming system to support the transition from block funding to individualised NDIS funding.In 2017 I became a Local Area Coordinator for Latrobe Community Health and in 2018 was asked to join the Support Coordination team at Gateways Support Services. It was here I found my passion for housing, and more specifically SDA. After starting the My House Project to support participants to explore housing options, I soon realised that participants and families needed a pathway that was independent of NDIS Providers who provided other supports such as SDA, SIL and Support Coordination.In December 2020, I launched Pathway to SDA. A Specialist Support Coordination service that focuses solely on supporting participants to achieve their SDA home and living goals.

A little bit more about me:

I have over 20 years of combined personal and professional experience in the disability sector as a mother, a Local Area Coordinator and a Support Coordinator.

My young adult daughter Jemma has Autism, an Intellectual disability and complex behaviours.

I am the owner and lead Specialist Support Coordinator for Pathway to SDA. We provide an independent pathway of support for people with an extreme functional impairment or very high support needs to explore and obtain Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

Jemma and I are on our own SDA journey and I have been researching SDA and networking within the sector for the past 4 years. I am passionate about supporting other participants and families by sharing my knowledge, experience and expertise.
