More information about my experience:

I am an experienced OT with over 20 years of experience and I have spent the past 4 years specialising in SIL and SDA clients. I am based in Victoria however have moved my services to being telehealth based in order to capture the high demand for services in rural or remote areas, or for those support coordinators who cannot find an OT with availability in their area due to wait lists.

I have current availability to accept referrals for self managed and plan managed participants from anywhere in Australia for the following:

A little bit more about me:

I am an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the areas of disability, rehabilitation, home modifications and community wellbeing. I have worked in acute hospitals, neurological rehabilitation and community disability settings across New Zealand , London and Australia. I have experience working with people with a broad range of conditions including acquired brain injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions, mental health and general medical conditions. I previously worked for 7 years in the major injury, recovery and project divisions of the TAC, providing me with valuable insight into the management and journey of compensable clients. I specialise in the completion of SDA and SIL reports for NDIS clients, supporting people to move out of nursing homes or transition from their family home into personalised permanent accommodation.

My professional values are:

I value supporting people to have flexibility and choice in their accommodation needs and client centred care. What this means for me, is that the participant is acknowledged as having their own dreams and motivating factors when it comes to thinking about their future accommodation or support needs. My role is to support the participant to voice these dreams, in a way that is understood by funding bodies. As a specialist in SDA and SIL funding my role is also to explain these services to the participant in a way that they can understand, and outline their options if they are not eligible for funding. I believe strongly that every Australian should have access to high quality services no matter their location, hence my telehealth service
