More information about my experience:

I am a Team Lead & Specialist Support Coordinator with a 17 year working history in the not-for-profit sector.
I have been involved in the NDIS across these roles since the trial launched in my hometown (Geelong, VIC).

For the past 7+ years, I have been working as a Support Coordinator & working as a mentor / consultant with Summer Foundation, NDS, NDIA and the general sector to build capacity & awareness for best practice.

My background is in direct disability support work, administration, complex program service delivery, rostering coordination, business development & recruitment, & operations management.

My specialty is supporting people through life transition periods, across complex systems, navigating hospital processes, housing exploration & self-direction capacity building for purposeful impact.

My main focus is within the health, housing & aged care interface, facilitating good opportunities for living good lives.
This includes helping navigate through major life changes, crisis points & tricky government processes by helping break down barriers, encourage choice & control, empower & connect, & identify solutions.

I have skills working with:

  • Children and young people with disability
  • People experiencing homelessness
  • People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • People in crisis or emergency situations
  • People in hospital
  • People involved with the justice system
  • People living in or at risk of entering residential aged care
  • People seeking mainstream housing
  • People seeking specialist disability accommodation (SDA)
  • People who are LGBTIQ+
  • People with ageing or seriously ill parents/family
  • People with behaviours of concern
  • People with complex communication needs
  • People with high and complex health needs
  • Support workers - including meeting their training needs

My formal qualifications and professional memberships include:

  • Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management
  • Certificate IV in Business Management
  • Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability Work)

A little bit more about me:

This year I will celebrate my 17-year work anniversary!

I have been living and breathing All-Things-NDIS from the moment the Scheme was launched in my Geelong hometown in 2013.
I am invested in building individual and sector capacity, confidence and compassion.

With a passion for spreadsheets, templates, price guides and legislation, I am known as a local NDIS-Guru, providing internal coaching within our team, and external training and mentoring for the sector.

My love for NDIS details is almost matched by my love for coffee, cricket, photography, and spending time with my niece & nephew.

I thrive on travel and am planning a road trip around Australia.
My overseas adventures include an African safari, New Zealand by motorhome, cruising the Pacific Islands, and exploring and immersing myself in China and Bali’s rich culture.

My professional values are:

COMPASSION – We lead with kindness, empathy & care, and invest in trauma informed practice. We promote human rights & self-care in our team & community.
