More information about my experience:

I have worked as a Specialist Coordinator of Supports with Keystone Counselling and Coordination for 9 months. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree, and completed my final placement in a Specialist Homelessness Service where I gained a first hand experience and understanding of the complex challenges faced by individuals and families when it comes to their housing needs.I have been able to extend my knowledge of homelessness into the NDIS space, where I support participants to explore their housing needs, from adapting their NDIS goals and funding, exploring the options around Social Housing, Private rental market, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and, Supported Independent Living (SIL).I like to work collaboratively with the participant, their informal supports, stakeholders and agencies in a holistic and person centred was that supports meeting the unique needs of each individual needs. This includes exploring all of the appropriate housing options, completing paperwork, sourcing specialised therapists who can assist with reports and recommendations and providing evidence to the NDIS.
