Iris is the Alongsiders Multicultural Community Services founding Director and Chief NDIS Support Coordinator. Armed with a Bachelor of Health Science, ample knowledge of the NDIS, and a wide range of professional specialist networks, Iris delivers with equal experience, intellect, and enthusiasm.
Her experience varies across humanities aids, community housing, home and community care, and the NDIS for not-for-profit organisations and peak bodies in Australia and Hong Kong. Her passion in particular is affiliating with those suffering from Younger Onset Dementia whose daily lives are impacted upon and require complex needs.
Iris translates her personal experience of being a young carer for her mother who suffers from chronic spinal injury into a profound understanding of the challenges behind the effects of disability. Aligning with her values and ideology in social justice, Iris believes the NDIS will deliver greater equality within communities to people living with disabilities
