Rights in Specialist Disability Accommodation Submission

The Summer Foundation have made a submission in response to a consultation paper by the Victorian Government, which sought input on how best to transition from current models of disability accommodation to a range of new specialist disability accommodation (SDA) options. These new SDA options will better meet the diverse needs of residents, and better support residents’ independence and participation in community life.

This is an opportunity to reframe the law, to give SDA residents more choice about how they live and to give them the housing protections required to make the most of the NDIS.
