NDIS REPORT CARD – APRIL 2017
OUTCOMES FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE IN RESIDENTIAL AGED CARE
The Summer Foundation has released its first NDIS Report Card. This Report Card measures six critical outcomes for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to achieve for younger people in residential aged care. This Report Card is compiled and published by the Summer Foundation.
The data in this first report card tells a mixed story. In the 2016 financial year the admission of people under 65 years of age to RAC was reduced by 21% overall where the NDIS was being trialed, compared with the preceding year. In the ACT and Barwon trial sites, the number of younger people admitted to RAC actually increased by 20%.
