Meet your UpSkill trainer

Linda Hughes

Linda is the Summer Foundation’s UpSkill Lead and manages the development and delivery of our UpSkill training program.

Having been immersed in the NDIS since its launch in 2013, Linda has worked as a support coordinator and led a support coordination team. She has a long history in disability advocacy and is also a parent of a man who has disability and is passionate about human rights, equality and inclusion of people with disability.

You can meet Linda at all of our UpSkill workshops including the NDIS & Housing, Evidence for SDA Outcomes, Supporting someone to live well in the community, Supporting someone to move into a new home, Supporting young people living in Aged Care to benefit from the NDIS, Working with people in the hospital setting and Working with people with complex needs in complex systems workshops.

Jess Stubbins

Jess is the founder and Director of Ablelink, an independent provider of Support Coordination in Victoria. Jess’s previous roles have included support work, managing supported accommodation settings, working with individuals with acquired brain injuries towards rehabilitation and teaching the Certificate IV in Disability.

Jess is a regular presenter at many of our UpSkill workshops including the NDIS & Housing, Evidence for SDA Outcomes, Supporting someone to live well in the community, Supporting someone to move into a new home, and Working with people with complex needs in complex systems workshops.

Andrea Lockwood

Andrea is a Project Lead at the Summer Foundation and has a background in occupational therapy. Andrea’s expertise lies at the intersection of NDIS and Aged Care and she is determined to see better outcomes for young people in residential aged care.

Virginia Mitsch

Virginia is an Occupational Therapist with a background in ABI rehabilitation, academia and project management. Virginia’s experience with NSW Health included 15 years working within the NSW Health Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program as a clinician, researcher and team leader and as a NDIS transition lead. Virginia was integral in developing the Summer Foundation’s Collaborative Hospital Discharge Approach leading projects in NSW, Victoria and QLD Health. She now runs her own consultancy business around the Health and NDIS interface.
