About you

This job is not for the faint hearted – it’s busy and varied.  You won’t ever look at the clock – the days will fly by.  And as a bonus, you will be  directly helping our team to support people living with disability to change their lives.  This is a great opportunity for a confident and high performing communicator with strong customer service, administrative and organisational skills to join our team. This means, can you juggle lots of tasks and convert enquiries to requests for service, while being an administrative guru.

This role involves assessing enquiries, providing advice on eligibility for different Home and Living services and converting enquiries into active service requests. There is a heavy focus on receiving and making calls, and you need to be comfortable with that.

If you are experienced in managing, assessing and collecting information from incoming enquiries via phone and online and working with databases as well as being a great administrator, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for service requests received via email and phone and enquiries from people with disability, their supporters, Support Coordinators and health clinicians. 
  • Undertake calls to people with disability and other referrers to determine impact for customers/users and identify opportunities for continuous service improvement 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via email, phone, online and in person, with experience working with clients who may have complex communication requirements 
  • Provide administrative support to the Service and Clinical Practice Manager as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the Services team activities

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a sales or service support role talking to customers and providing excellent support
  • Experience and confidence working with databases 
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high levels of resilience

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of eligibility criteria for NDIS Home and Living Supports
  • Develop top-notch documentation to support funding applications
  • Stay up-to-date with NDIS legislation and changes related to home and living supports
  • Manage your time effectively to reach standard KPIs

Required qualifications, skills and experience

  • Qualifications in social work, psychology, occupational therapy, nursing, including mental health nursing
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and relevant legislation

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
