The Summer Foundation is running a two-part information session to explain the NDIS’ approach to housing and the critical relationship between NDIS goals and housing related supports.
The sessions will describe the supports available under the NDIS to find and sustain a variety of mainstream housing options. It will introduce Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), explain who it’s for and the eligibility criteria.
Who should attend?
- People with disability, their family members and supporters
- NDIS support coordinators and allied health professionals
Session 1: To explain the NDIS’ approach to housing and the options available
Session 2: For NDIS support coordinators and allied health professionals, and participants who are self-managing their plan. It will introduce the SDA Rules and explain how to gather and present relevant evidence for the NDIA to determine a person’s eligibility for SDA
These workshops will be facilitated by Penny Paul, the Summer Foundation’s Senior Policy and Research Officer and SDA eligibility expert.
