Supporting someone to live well in the community

  • ONLINE WORKSHOP FOR VIC & NSW

This UpSkill workshop, brought to you by the Summer Foundation, is designed to help you support people to live well in the community.

What makes a good life? When you ask most people this question, they say things like:

  • “Friends and family.”
  • “Doing a job I enjoy.”
  • “Opportunity to learn and try out new things.”
  • “Sense of belonging and having a role in the community.”
  • ”Having a nice home where I feel safe and comfortable.”

However, we know that for various reasons there are often major barriers to people with disability living a good life.

How can we assist people to live happier, more fulfilling lives?

Why you should attend:

This workshop will help you as a support coordinator or allied health professional to understand your role in supporting a person to live well in the community and how to translate the principles of human rights, equality and inclusion into practical steps.
