The Summer Foundation and Monash University have today released a report into the five-year $244 million National Younger People in Residential Aged Care (YPIRAC) program. The program was established by COAG in July 2006 to reduce the number of younger people (defined as under 50 years) with disabilities living in aged care.

The Getting Out study involved 36 recorded telephone interviews with health professionals, disability workers, advocacy organisations and public servants in each state/territory of Australia who are actively involved in the implementation of the current national YPIRAC program.
