| The Summer Foundation will be offering a series of workshops in 2010. These workshops will be available to young people with disabilities who are either living in nursing homes or at significant risk of nursing home admission. The workshops will enable people with disabilities to explore a range of opportunities to engage in systemic advocacy regarding the issue of young people living in nursing homes.
The "Tell Your Story" workshop will take participants through the process of compiling their own personal story. This portfolio will be a useful tool for participants as a basis for future advocacy opportunities such as an article for a newsletter, media interviews or public speaking engagements.
